The network announced the official premiere date for the series today, and revealed that the show will kick off with an hour-long special at 8 PM Eastern on July 29, then settle into a weekly schedule of half-hour episodes beginning August 5.
However, fans will be able to get an early look at the premiere during Comic-Con International in San Diego...

Cartoon Network just released a promotional trailer for their upcoming Green Lantern: The Animated Series. So far so good, it looks like it will stay true to the story in the comics. Produced by Batman: The Animated Series artist Bruce Timm whom we have total faith in, if anyone other than Bruce Timm was on this project I'd be worried but Bruce Timm has proven over the years that he understands the DC Universe as well as anyone.

Fans who picked up Green Lantern: Emerald Knights were treated to a sneak peek of Warner Bros. Animation upcoming direct-to-video adaptation of Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli's Batman: Year One. Warner Bros. Animation released a pair of stills from the adaptation in April, but this video delves into how the directors, producers and actors brought Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli's well-regarded 1987 story to life. Of particular interest is how co-directors Sam Liu and Lauren Montgomery tried to remain as faithful as possible to Mazzucchelli's art, in some instances even using the actual comic-book panels.

MGM is back in the animation game with the children's book adaptation "Punk Farm," the studio's first animated movie since "All Dogs Go to Heaven" in 1989 and only its second project since emerging from bankruptcy.
David Silverman ("The Simpsons Movie") is set to direct; David Stern will rewrite the script by Jim Hecht based on the Jarrett Krosoczka book.
Story revolves around five barnyard animals who form an underground rock band. Kevin Messick and Arish Fyzee are producing, with Anita Camarata and Kristin Dornig are exec producing for Prana Animation Studios, which brought the project to MGM and will handle the CG animation.

We just started watching the Mortal Kombat legacy web series and I have to say it's pretty damn good each episode is about 10 to 13 min. long live-action Mortal Kombat fun. Lots of martial arts action, killing, good acting and storytelling. I really hope this series leads to a new Mortal Kombat movie with the same tone as the web series.

Disney has uploaded the teaser trailer for the animated film Brave, Pixar's first fairy tale staring a female protagonist. Judging by the lack of cuddly, anthropomorphic creatures, Brave looks to be one for creative storytelling, rather than for the merchandising. Brave is due for release June 22, 2012...
We say this every time a Pixar movie hits theaters, but seriously, this one looks absolutely incredible, with lush gorgeous textures and real emotion shining through the face of the film's protagonist. There's not much to go on just yet story-wise, but judging from the trailer below, Pixar has another hit on there hands.

Well now Disney has officially revealed the project, now titled Wreck-It Ralph, with plot details and a voice cast that includes John C. Reilly as the titular character and Sarah Silverman, Jack McBrayer and Jane Lynch providing their voice talents as well. Seth MacFarlane, creator of Family Guy, has just won the rights to reboot The Flintstones. Supposedly this has been years in the making as MacFarlane's first ever cartoon he drew at 2 years old was Fred Flintstone and is ecstatic that he finally received the green light to go ahead on production. The show will undergo the production process beginning later this year and the first episode of the revamped show will air on Fox in 2013.
