NCAA 2007 makes a pretty decent debut onto the XBOX 360...and as long as you don't buy this game for anything more than online play, or playing against your friends, your good to go.

The dynasty mode is good, but it lacks some of the options of the current generation's version of the game. I am also beginning to grow tired of my friends talking about how cool the Campus Legend mode and Create-A-Team modes are, and since I AM the only person I know with a 360, I am left without these features...at least until next year.

By the looks of it, EA's second offerings on the 360 are looking to be much better than last year's initial ones. Madden 07 is looking really good, as is Tiger Woods 07. Let's just hope that when next year comes around, I don't have to listen to all my friends talk about things that I can't do in NCAA 2008, because then I will truly feel ripped off. At least for now I can enjoy the amazing visuals, but next year, it's gonna take more than that to warrant another $60 purchase on my part.

Sports simulation gaming at its finest. Year after year EA pulls off a great college football title with months and months of replay value through the 60! year dynasty mode. Thier first installment in the series on the Nex-Gen console wont dissappoint. This game has always been my favorite, much more than Madden, even though im not a huge EA fan. I might as well take all my other game and lock them away until after christmas, because this is not coming out of my console for a long, long time! GO IRISH!

Graphics are good but not great, let alone awesome(play a game in the rain...waaay too choppy for next-gen graphics). Gameplay is ok, but not as smooth, consistent, and fun as past incarnations. It is also missing some options, features, and extras from past NCAA titles(but don't worry, i'm sure they'll offer these bit by bit as downloadable content in the future where you gotta fork over more money for it as apparently $60 off the rack isn't costly enough). I'm sure there are EA loyalists/apologists who think i'm a hater(it's true, i hate EA so much i've bought most of their NCAA titles for the past decade or so including their first on the Sega Genesis way back when, and my favorite incarnation of them all: NCAA 2004 with coverboy Carson Palmer on the Gamecube!).

But anyway, is this a terrible game? Not really. if you can 'overlook' and 'forgive', it is good enough graphics and gameplay-wise. But if you used up all your 'look the other way/turn the other cheek' mentality with the also-disappointing(but better-looking at least) MADDEN 2006 on 360; then i STRONGLY recommend you rent this game first or read better and more detailed reviews on the game before buying it. I wish i had before i bought this game. Then at least my lowered expectations wouldn't have set me up for such a huge let-down. Recommended only as a rental or 'read reviews first before buying'. Seriously, after MADDEN 2006, i thought EA learned that next-gen games(at next-gen prices i might add), needed to have everything last-gen games had and more. With NCAA 2007, i guess not. Perhaps NCAA 2008 will be the game we're all hoping for. Hope MADDEN 2007 at least addresses all the concerns of its previous incarnation on 360.

Well, I've had this game for a almost a week now. This was the reason i bought an xbox 360.

I enjoy playing the game immensely. I play as OU and my running back is very impressive, just like real life. Here is a list of some pros and cons about the game so far.

cons:
1. It's a little tougher to put a man in motion, and to utilize a hot route.
2. the instruction booklet is getting thinner and thinner. Fortunately, i've been playing ncaa for years, and I sorta know what i'm doing.
3. Sometimes, the replay is unavailable, especially after i score on a long run, and it shows a momentum shift replay.
4. Who cares about taking a snapshot of a great play in the game, i want to save the whole replay, just like in madden.
5. I enjoyed putting the game on cpu vs. cpu and watching the computer sim a game. You can't do that on the xbox 360.

Pros:
1. Fortunately, the two teams i play, OU and Georgia Tech, are both represented in the game with their actual stadiums. I assume that many are missing b/c it takes a LONG time to assimilate into the game, and there are over a 100 stadiums.
2. I started a game at FSU, and they even have the funky looking field goal posts there
3. you can read the safety sticker on the back of the helmets now.
4. Players and the refs properly gear up in cold weather, such as gloves and long sleeves.
5. the OU-texas game, and Georgia-Florida game are in their correct locations. This was a problem with the first incarnation of ncaa for the ps2, as it had the games as home and away series.

I emjoy this game a lot. I got what I expected. I do hope that they bring some ofthe things back, like the all time teams, and things like that. People complain about the pregame show, but, i wound up just hitting x to get through it. Also, you can greatly speed up the game by hitting the A button and bypassing a lot of the animations. There is a lot of room for improvement. It is nice to see the receive actually catch the ball instead of it just sticking to his glove like he is wearing stick-um. Also, if you are able to, obtain the actual rosters, and it makes the gameplay that more enjoyable.
